Card Services for Credit Unions® PRESENTS ANNUAL CARD MARKETING AWARDS

CLEARWATER, FL (June 2, 2010) – Card Services for Credit Unions recently announced the recipients of the 2010 Card Marketing Awards (CAMEOs) at the Card Services for Credit Unions® Annual Meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. These awards recognize and reward the member credit unions that developed the most innovative and resourceful marketing campaigns of the year.

“This year we saw some exceptional nominations touting the credit unions’ successes in what can be considered one of our most challenging years,” said Bill Lehman, vice president of portfolio consulting at Card Services for Credit Unions®. “Our CAMEO winners seized an opportunity to make their card programs more profitable, and we like to recognize our credit union members that work hard to grow their card portfolios.”

Card Services for Credit Unions® encourages credit unions to take an active approach in growing their credit and debit card portfolios. By highlighting the outstanding results of effective campaigns, the CAMEO awards provide an opportunity to recognize high achievers and showcase best practices for all members.

“We always enjoy spending time with our members, and the exchange of ideas was especially energizing this year,” said Robert Hackney, Card Services for Credit Unions® president. “It’s a great opportunity to connect with colleagues and learn from each other’s success.”

CAMEO winners from Eastman Credit Union, ABNB and Community Alliance Credit Union formed the first Portfolio Consulting Services Peer Panel. Attendees heard credit union panelists, along with Card Services for Credit Unions®’s Portfolio Consulting Services team, explain the consultation process and how they converted recommendations into winning strategies for their credit unions.

Other highlights from the Annual Meeting included breakout sessions with executives from Visa, MasterCard, FIS and Card Services for Credit Unions®, as well as other key leaders in the financial industry. Featured speakers included Frank Diekmann, Credit Union Journal; Gary Norcross, FIS; Wayne Best, Visa, Inc.; Bill Hampel, CUNA; and Stacey Pinkerd, Visa, Inc.; Dan Jansen, a crowd favorite, gave his inspirational story.

Next year’s CAMEO Awards will be presented at the 2011 Annual Meeting April 27 – May 1 at the Disney Yacht & Beach Club in Orlando, Fla.
