TAMPA, FL (July 5, 2012) – Card Services for Credit Unions (CSCU) offers proven free marketing materials to member credit unions.
GEMC FCU in Tucker, GA utilized these marketing materials for a balance transfer promotion. In the 2011 “Debt on a Diet” campaign, they opened 35 new cards and transferred $115,645. In the 2012 “Find Your Freedom” campaign, they opened 57 new cards and transferred $378,443. In addition, GEMC received a Diamond award and a Diamond in the Rough award from CUNA and a First Place in Overall Credit CAMEO award from CSCU at its 2011 Annual Conference.
“I liked that CSCU suggested a balance transfer promotion time period, but we were able to use the campaign when it worked in our credit union’s calendar and were able to personalize the materials to work best for us,” said Marketing Publication Specialist at GEMC FCU Julie Brock.
The credit union used the promotional materials in statement inserts in credit card statements and general statements, electronic statement inserts and newsletter articles.
GEMC’s marketing staff was so pleased with the ease of using CSCU’s marketing materials that they decided to use CSCU materials again for another balance transfer campaign in 2012 – “Find Your Freedom.”
“We had such great success with the first campaign that we decided to follow it up with a second one,” Brock said. “We look forward to using more CSCU marketing materials in the future!”
CSCU is currently offering a new balance transfer promotion called “Live the Good Life and Reduce Debt.” Materials in the campaign include: marketing kits, statement inserts, and eMarketing materials from CSCU. This campaign will run in August and September in member credit unions.
