CSCU ANNOUNCES CUNA GAC WINNERS

TAMPA, FL (May 25, 2012) – Card Services for Credit Unions (CSCU) is pleased to announce its winners from the 2012 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference.

CSCU implemented a community theme this year as a GAC diamond sponsor encouraging credit unions to connect with like-minded professionals, inspire insights from those around us, and learn from the experts while sharing experiences.

GAC attendees participated at CSCU’s booth as a ‘community of credit unions’ to provide insights and visions for the future of the industry. This included offering ideas through an iPad app, where CSCU gave a donation to Credit Unions for Kids for each idea submitted. CSCU donated $1,500 to the worthy cause. In addition, by participating, attendees were entered to win iPads and an enhancement bundle package for their credit union.

The following credit unions were the lucky winners of the iPads:
1. John Winne, CEO, Boston Firefighters CU, Dorchester, MA
2. Jace Reyes, President/CEO, Miami Postal Service CU, Miami, FL
3. Mark Cochran, CEO, Jeanne D Arc CU, Lowell, MA

Indiana University Credit Union is the winner of $5,000 toward an enhancement bundle package from CSCU. This bundle package includes portfolio growth tools that drive penetration, activation and usage including: Scorecard, ProDirect, Readi-Review, LetterChecks, FastTrack.

“Here is a great opportunity for credit unions to leverage five core products that are staples in an effective portfolio management strategy, so this is a great opportunity to put these solutions to work,” said Bill Lehman, VP of Portfolio Consulting Services at CSCU.

The enhancement bundle prize offering is an introduction to the special 2012 promotion CSCU is offering on its premium enhancement bundle package. Credit unions can pay less by adding more products. Savings include up to 30% when packaging multiple products.

CSCU Supporting Credit Union Values

In support of the credit union philosophy “people helping people,” CSCU made a $25,000 contribution to the National Credit Union Foundation’s (NCUF) outreach programs. Presented to NCUF Chairman Gary Oakland at the 2012 National Credit Union Foundation Dinner at the Governmental Affairs Conference on March 19, 2012, the donation will help support credit union efforts to provide greater access to affordable financial services, provide widespread financial education, and empower more consumers to save, build assets, and own homes.

The NCUF dinner honored the winners of the 24th Annual Herb Wegner Memorial Awards for Lifetime Achievement, the credit union movement’s highest national awards.

“We would like to join the industry in congratulating Bill Eckhardt, President/CEO of Alaska USA Federal Credit Union and Tom Dorety, President/CEO of Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union for achieving this high honor and for their continued service to the credit union movement,” said Bob Hackney, CSCU President.

CSCU focuses on providing it’s nearly 3,000 member credit unions with comprehensive credit, debit, prepaid, and merchant card processing services as well as uncompromising support in the areas of fraud protection, portfolio consultation services, and innovative marketing programs.
