Tampa, Fla. (April 10, 2012) – Members at Marine Federal Credit Union have been delighted with the latest offering from FIS™ and ScoreCard® through its membership with CSCU —the national “A Million & More Sweepstakes.”
CSCU brings its member credit unions the leading loyalty program through its partnership with FIS. Member credit unions enjoy a great system and also an added value of marketing support with proven effective programs such as the “A Million & More Sweepstakes.”
All Marine FCU members were automatically entered in the sweepstakes, held from October 1 through December 31, 2011. Members were also entered every time they used their ScoreCard Rewards debit or credit card for qualifying purchases.
“Not only did our members tell us they were excited about the program, we’re seeing it in the numbers,” said Marine FCU COO Jeff Clark. “Transactions increased about 15,000 over that three-month period and we’re still sustaining this level of activity.”
Now Marine FCU members have an even greater reason to be excited—the national grand prize was won by one of their own—Patrick Slayton, a 24-year-old U.S. Marine at Camp Lejeune who has served multiple tours of duty in Afghanistan.
Marine Federal Credit Union worked with FIS, a global provider of loyalty solutions to the financial industry, to create an easy-to-use program that streamlined its previous reward offerings but still provided plenty of variety to appeal to all members—including the “A Million & More Sweepstakes.” The Grand Prize was 1,000,001 bonus points to be redeemed for travel or merchandise or a three-day, two-night trip to Chicago with a Warehouse Dash and Grab valued up to $10,000 in merchandise.
When Corporal Slayton entered Marine FCU on February 10 to pick up more information about his winnings, he was greeted by Executive Vice President (and retired major general) Bob Dickerson and a very excited group of employees.
“I think our employees were almost as excited for Mr. Slayton as he was for himself,” said Regina Almand, Assistant Vice President of the Member Resource Center. “This could not have happened to a nicer young Marine and we are thrilled for him.”
When asked what he planned to purchase with his bonus points, the first thing he mentioned were several gifts for his parents.
“We believe the ‘A Million & More Sweepstakes’ adds an additional benefit and flair to our program, one that both clients and cardholders equally enjoy,” added Bob Legters, Senior Vice President, Loyalty Services, FIS. “In a competitive financial market, enhancements like this sweepstakes help keep their rewards card top-of-wallet.
